There are many ways to remove Asbestos DIY. The main point to remember is the Asbestos is Hazardous. You need to take extra care for yourself and those around you, including your neighbours.
Asbestos is made up of tiny fibres that when released into the air, they are easily ingested into the lungs and gut. Many believe that the fibres can pass through your skin and travel within your body. This is not true! The only way is through your airways and mucus membranes. Your mucus membranes include, your mouth, your eyes, your ears and your nose.
Asbestos entering your ear canal will eventually drain into your sinuses and then into your throat and mouth. The same goes for your eyes.'
Any Asbestos that enters your nose or mouth has a direct route to your lungs and gut.
Removing asbestos from your home or business is easy if you follow these simple steps and don't cut any corners.
Firstly make sure you are not removing any more than 4 square meters.

Once you have removed the sheet or panel place it on a sheet of plastic and begin to wrap it very carefully. The best advice is to use a trailer or ute. Cover the floor of the trailer with plastic and then place the Asbestos panels on top.
As soon as you have placed the last sheet into the trailer cover it immediately with plastic.
Make sure that the plastic is wrapped completely around the sheets and taped with heavy duty tape.
Phone your local waste disposal site. Ask them about the conditions of Disposing of Asbestos.
